Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actress who is most well-known for her role as Bo from the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk is an actor from Canada born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk who was a well-known actor and director. He was also a playwright, educator, and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching while at work, and also attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk played a role as a young actress in commercials. She received a Bachelor's of Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two early shows: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto Canada in the fall of 1999 in order to pursue her acting. Then she moved in Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an Actors Workshop held in Los Angeles, in 2007. Following their engagement in 2008, they married in 2009. On April 10 2011 they renewed their vows in a Jewish celebration in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was born in May 2013, a son who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Levi Aaron was her second born son on 13 May 2016. Silk is a variety of TV roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. She was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2009 for her performance. She was given the role as Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian television series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was pregnant during filming the final episode of the third series. She announced the pregnancy to the viewers in her Showcase Season Three pre-show special of 6 January 2013. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was back to the set of the show. CNN's Cable News Network named her role as Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top television Couples. E! named the couple as the top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk is the result, and its prominence on social media has gained a significant online following.
